About Simon Yoon, Dr.TCM, Director
Simon is the founder of “Five Element Acupuncture Clinic,” and “Five Element Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine.” Simon began his career in health with a Bachelor degree in Food Science from the National University of Chungnam in 1981 in Korea. His enthusiasm for health and wellness continued with schooling to become a doctor of oriental medicine and learning the healing art of SaAm Five Element Acupuncture. Simon trained and interned at Dr. Gh’moh’s SaAm Acupuncture Institute in Korea. He came to Canada to learn English and complete the 4 year full-time Doctoral Diploma in Traditional Chinese Medicine at Toronto School of TCM.
In addition to running his clinic, Simon founded “Five Element Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine” in 2005 to educate other health professionals in Canada on the topic of SaAm Five Element Acupuncture. He is also the executive director of Five Element Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association of Canada.
Simon has a strong interest in "giving back" to the community and helping those in need locally and around the world, and is active at Gh’moh’s “SaAm Non Profit Acupuncture Service (a registered Korean charity)” and “Health Mission Outreach (HMO; a registered Canadian charity)”. He did one month of volunteer acupuncture with Dr. Gh’moh in Jechon, Korea in 2010. He also attended Mississauga Outreach Program as a member of HMO in December, 2010.

Among the many different conditions that are treated at Five Element Acupuncture Clinic, Simon focuses on Pain Management, Accident Injury, Weight Management, Fertility, and Cosmetic & skin Issues to name a few.
